2026 Director Election
The WACA Board ratified one Member Elected Director during the 2026 WA Cricket Annual General Meeting at the WACA Ground.
4 WACA Members nominated for 1 the Member Elected Position and 910 Members voted. Below are the final results:

Peter Capes (604 votes) was re-elected to the WACA Board.
A former WA fast bowler, selector, bowling coach, and WACA committee member, Capes has served on the WACA Board for the past three years, including as deputy chair and on the Audit and Risk and Nominations, Remuneration and Governance Committees.
Capes points to the completion of the WACA Ground Improvement Project and the leadership transition to Chair Gail McGowan and Chief Executive Officer John Stephenson as highlights. Priorities include maximising the redevelopment’s returns and the future of team ownership in the Big Bash Leagues.
